We are excited to present our boutique that is open to the public to come and swap old clothes for new clothing.
It is open Wednesday evenings 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., along with the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon).
The boutique started off as an old room in the lower level of church and recognition of a need in the community. Kids grow and parents need to constantly be buying them new clothes. So, we decided to take this old room and breathe new life into it.
Now the Born Again Boutique stands with open arms for all in need of new or very lightly used clothing all at the cost of the clothes you no longer need.
Q: I brought in a bag of at least 30 items, but I can only take 5 items for each of my two kids. What happens to the rest of my 20 donated items? Do I get credit?
A: Yes! You will receive a credit as long as the items meet the Boutique's standards of quality.
Q: I dropped off a bag of baby clothes but only got credit for a few pieces. What happens to the other pieces that weren't accepted?
A: They are saved for an upcoming church rummage sale or donated elsewhere.
Q: Can I get back any donations that are not accepted into the Boutique?
A: No. Ultimately, the items will go to a good cause when it is all said and done!
Q: My daughter is looking for a specific brand of jeans in a certain size. Can you help us?
A: We sure can! We can make note of your request and have a look through our inventory. If we don't have it, we can keep our eyes open for it as donations come in.
Q: Are there age restrictions on those that we can shop for?
A: Nope!
Q: I have three boys and our clothes are well past the stage of being able to be swapped! Can I still shop at the Boutique?
A: Absolutely! You can use personal hygiene products or non-perishable food products in lieu of clothes or shoes that will be used toward our Blessing Box project or you can even use regular, old-fashioned money as a donation!
Q: My son doesn't like to go shopping. Does he have to be with me at the Boutique or can I just pick things out for him?
A: Yes, we do ask that kids be present at the Boutique to try things and make sure that they like things before taking them. Kids can be picky, and we want to be sure that inventory will be used!
Q: I brought jeans in to swap. Do I have to shop for jeans, or can I pick out something else?
A: You can shop for whatever you want or need. It doesn't have to be the same thing that you brought in.
Q: What items do you accept as donations?
A: We accept items that are in great or new condition. Items include clothing and shoes for all seasons at any time, purses, backpacks, accessories, bibs, socks, bras, new underwear, sports gear such as cleats, shin guards, compression clothes, etc. Think, "would a kid want to wear this today?" or "is this 'in style'?"
1) Volunteer! We are happy to accept volunteers to run the boutique on days that it is open. Simply call the church and we will get you on the schedule.
2) Donate Clothes! We are always accepting new or lightly used clothing to stock our boutique. Simply drop it off during our church office hours.
3) Talk About It! This boutique is open to everyone! So, when you hear about someone needing help getting nice clothes tell them to come check us out. You can also follow the Born Again Boutique on Facebook and Instagram. You can find those social links below.
4) Donate Financially. This is never expected but always accepted. Right now we are working on gaining funds to put in a washer and dryer! You may either drop off a check or cash or donate online with the button below.
